Try this oh so delicious recipe for Apple Crisp! You can easily swap the apple pie filling for any flavor you like, but apple is my favorite for this one. Fall is here!
I love a good, made from scratch apple pie using tart green apples, but if you’re pressed for time, and you don’t have fresh apples on hand, try making this quick and east Apple Crisp. If you’d rather make a different flavor, try one of these combos below:
- Cherry Pie Filling with a dash of Cardamom
- Blueberry Pie Filling with zest & juice of 1/2 Lemon,
- Peach Pie Filling with 1/4 teaspoon fresh grated Nutmeg

Serve a warm bowl of Apple Crisp just by itself, or make it special with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Apple Crisp
Ingredients
Fruit Filling:
- 1 can Apple Pie Filling
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Topping:
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. old fashioned oats
- 1/2 c. all purpose flour
- 1/8 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter (softened or melted)
Instructions
Filling:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix pie filling and cinnamon together. Spread into bottom of 8 inch square baking dish that has been lightly buttered or sprayed. Set aside and make the topping.
Topping:
- In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Toss with blending fork. Add butter and combine thoroughly.
- Sprinkle topping evenly over the fruit filling. Gently press a little of the topping into the filling (see video).
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes, until topping has browned (see video). Cool slightly and serve. Try adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top! So delicious!
I just made this. I only had cherry pie filling (and I love cherry). I used our air fryer (320 degrees for 30 minutes). I had to cut the recipe to 3/4 to fit the air fryer pan I had. It turned out very good.
