Apple Crisp

Ingredients
  

Fruit Filling:

  • 1 can Apple Pie Filling
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Topping:

  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. butter (softened or melted)

Instructions
 

Filling:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix pie filling and cinnamon together. Spread into bottom of 8 inch square baking dish that has been lightly buttered or sprayed. Set aside and make the topping.

Topping:

  • In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Toss with blending fork. Add butter and combine thoroughly.
  • Sprinkle topping evenly over the fruit filling. Gently press a little of the topping into the filling (see video).
  • Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes, until topping has browned (see video). Cool slightly and serve. Try adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top! So delicious!
